Tihomir Dimitrov has been a 3D Character Artist and Sculptor at Ubisoft Sofia for 7 years. He is part of the character team behind Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, Assassin Creed: Liberation and Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. Tihomir is passionate about developing characters and creatures in digital and bringing them to life.
Gerardo is a self taught freelance artist from Uruguay, South America and a former Visualarium.com student. His first contact with the CG World was in 2003 from that day, Gerardo knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Gerardo loves every challenge that comes his way. He is currently looking for new and challenging job opportunities.
Ara Kermanikian is a concept designer with a focus on futuristic character, vehicle, and set design. He is also an author and an Instructor. His first book as an Autodesk authorized author was published in June 2010. He has written several Master Classes and reviews for publications such as 3D Artist magazine. His work is also showcased in galleries of several Sybex books including several editions of Mastering Maya and Introducing ZBrush. He is currently working on his next book, Polysculpting, which is about a strategic approach to creating well organized 3D geometry using a hybrid of polygonal modeling and sculpting tools. He currently teaches Polysculpting as an online workshop at CG Workshops.
Mehmet Çetinkaya is a self taught digital sculptor living in Turkey. He’s a Graphic Designer and likes to collect action figures and other collectibles especially alien movie merchandise. He is very passionate about design and especially ZBrush.
Petar Yankov was born in Bulgaria and is currently living in the UK studying for a 3D animation degree at the University of Hertfordshire.
Petar is aiming to become a Character Artist after he completes his education. Currently he is working on anatomy study projects but has managed to find some time to help BadKing with their Monster Brush Pack.
Murray Sinclair is a 3D Artist from the UK. Murray has a passion for game art, has worked on several BAFTA nominated projects and is currently focusing on producing Creature and Character art for the gaming industry. More examples of his work can be seen on his website.
Oliver Spasovski is a self taught 3D artist who was born in 1995. He wants to bring something new to the 3D community everyday through his passion and motivation. Oliver is also a Graphic Designer and Game Developer. He is also CEO of the newly formed game developer team called Abominatus Games.
Drimakus (Max Sobolev) has been working in the CG graphics industry for approximately 5 years and has experience in all areas including static imagery, painting/composing, advertisement products, modeling/texturing interior/characters etc, animated cinematic shorts and even taking part in a full-length movie. He loves his job and is willing to learn as many skills in as many directions as he can.
Drimakus’ introduction to ZBrush started recently with the BadKing site and within a short period of time he managed to produce models even he couldn’t believe were made by his own hands. He completely fell in love with ZBrush as it combines all the things he adores – painting, modeling, sculpting and so on.
Oliver Maqsud is a self taught digital sculptor currently freelancing as a character designer & concept artist. As a true monster fan, he started sculpting with clay in his childhood and drawing monsters during his math classes. A few years ago he changed from traditional to digital sculpting.
Marian Toma is a budding digital artist who specializes in ZBrush highpoly sculpting. He is currently working on several indie projects as a concept artist, illustrator and game artist. Marian has also worked as Lead Digital Sculptor for PlaneQuest.
Nick G. Gizelis has been working as a 3d modeler/3d generalist from 2001 to date. He has worked in digital projects for documentaries, printed publications, virtual reality applications, Dome Master projects, film vfx and commercials. Amongst them, Nick has worked as a 3d artist for the History Channel documentary “Ancient Discoveries III – Machines of the Gods” together with Yafka production studio (ex Vattica) and as a visual effects artist in “Ekso Productions” studio’s work for the movie “To Kako” (English title : “ Evil“, (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0813129). Nick has also worked as a 3d artist for TV commercials of Vivodi Telecom S.A. telephone company products.
For his personal projects, Nick likes to create digital characters mostly of fantasy theme. He also likes to make 3d printed maquettes out of his digital models and is active in the 3d printing field. Greg Bobrowski is a photographer based in Poland. In addition to freelancing as a photographer, he studies Graphic Design at the Silesian School of IT and Medicine where he finds traditional sculpting classes to be helpful when creating digital sculpts. Greg is new to ZBrush and is learning new things daily.
Ricardo Luiz Mariano started his career approximately 3 years ago. He learnt the basics of 3d in various schools, but felt that he needed to do more to achieve the level that the industry required.
Ricardo is now working on his modeling and experience in order to enter the gaming industry as a 3d character artist. He is also doing workshops and courses to improve his workflow. Ricardo’s goal is to create characters for next gen games.
Jared Krichevsky’s inclination to create characters was evident from a very young age. He began putting pen to paper at the tender age of five years old. Eventually, Jared traded in graphite for pixels and enrolled in the Gnomon School of Visual Effects. While at Gnomon, Jared cultivated his CG skills through an internship with the Aaron Sims Company. In 2010, he graduated from the CG certificate program at Gnomon and accepted a position at Aaron Sims where he currently works as a CG Generalist and Designer. Jared is also a new member of the faculty at Gnomon School of Visual Effects, facilitating tutelage of creature design and ZBrush.
Gary Calhoun (aka Nufftalon 3D) is a self taught artist who spends the majority of his time sculpting and helping others. He began his journey into the 3 dimensional realm in 2010. He uses 3ds Max, UDK, ZBrush and Photoshop. He is an active member of zbrushhangout.com where he enjoys sculpting sessions.
Jin Hao Villa is a fulltime freelance digital artist from the Philippines specializing mostly in character digital sculpting and concept design. He has extensive work experience in the development of video games and feature film productions as well as toys and collectibles for the rapid prototyping industry. To date he has contributed character 3d assets for AAA game titles such as Uncharted 2, NCAA Football 2010 and many more titles for both the film and gaming industry. His work has been published in numerous animation magazines and featured in sites such as 3dtotal, xsibase, Marmoset Gallery and CG Arena.
Hiram Topete Diaz (also known as Highly Topsecret on Facebook) is a self-taught Freelance Artist dedicated to 3D Sculpting/Modeling in ZBrush and 3DSMax. He enjoys spending hours ZBrushing and especially loves hardsurface modeling and sculpting monsters. Hiram first experienced 3D art when his mom took him to a Barnes & Noble bookstore and pulled out a heavy 3DStudiomax5 Bible and he discovered its history in animations for movies and game making. This was the start of everything and Hiram has never looked back. It has now become his life, his passion and his dream.
Hiram is father to two beautiful boys that motivate him. He loves to travel, help others and is always ready for a challenge. He is open to job opportunities.
Having been an active illustrator for a while, Robert Brown spends the majority of his exploration in constructing partial narratives in 3D/2D Illustration. Having done work for the game industry for the past 8 years, he now teaches Character design, 3d modeling and pre-production at Technical Arts University, while continuing to freelance for various remote contractors/studios on the side. Art has always been a combination of study exploration and play for Robert. He explains that the reason he focuses on character design is the fact that it has allowed him to constantly reinvent various aspects of his own persona while creating strings of fantasy narrative with which to house these manifestations.
John Mahoney moved to Los Angeles to work for Disney feature Animation as a Visual Development Artist on such films as Atlantis, Treasure Planet and Emperors New Groove. His short film created for a pitch to help sell Emperors New Groove was instrumental in getting that film green lit. After working on ten Disney feature films John decided to pursue his passion as an independent film maker. Since then, John has produced over twenty short films and two independent features. He has directed numerous documentaries on such prominent people as Doug Chaing, designer of the new Star Wars films and Tyrus Wong, designer of Bambi. He taught such diverse classes as figure drawing, sculpture, film design, storyboards, stop motion animation, and character design in the United States as well as in Singapore and Taiwan.
John’s illustration work has been showcased in Spectrum, the Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art and in the book Erotic Signature, the World’s Greatest Erotic Art of Today. The release of the book will mark the launching of the Exhibition Tour starting in Miami, then New York, LosAngeles, Amsterdam and London. John has had several gallery exhibitions around the Los Angeles area, including a one man show at the Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena.
David Chung has worked as a character modeler in the Indian Animation Industry for 5 years . Since then he has hung up his sub-d modeling shoes and taken up work as a freelance artist, sculpting characters for Animation and Collectibles. He’s recently worked with Companies such as AnimationMentor , AnimationRigs and First4figures.
Daniel Williams is a father to three wonderful children and married to the love of his life. He is also a modeler at Dreamworks Animation. Previously, he worked at ArenaNet and Blue Sky Studios as well.
Online, he usually goes by the name pointpusher. In his free time, he loves to draw and sculpt. Much of his personal work can be seen on his blog.
Cesar Ortega is a Game Art student at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Florida, He is working towards becoming a Character/ Creature Artist for the Game/Movie industry.
Jerod Bogh is a self taught ZBrush user since approximately 2009. He currently works out of Portland, OR as a lead character/creature artist for the TV series Grimm. Sculpting the actor’s digital double and then the monsters they morph into, have quickly become his passion and specialty. Jerod enjoys the new challenges every character brings to the table, as well as the journey from concept to finished model.

Ron McLeroy is Owner of Dead Panic Studios and Co-Founder of Zbrushhangout.com. He has been using Zbrush since version 2.0 and has dedicated his life to becoming a better and better digital sculptor. His studio has worked on games, illustration, character and environmental design and production.
Nuttavut Baiphowongse is a Freelance Creature Design and 3D Character Artist who graduated from The Gnomon School of Visual Effects. He works for Aaron Sims Company, the Monk Studio and various other studios as a freelancer and is also a ZBrush instructor for On One Animation.
Nuttavut focuses mainly on creature design, 3d Modeling, comic and DVD book covers. He has also worked on a number of projects that will be released in 2013/14 including The USDA Hungry Pests commercial, Falling Skies S2 TV Series, Jupiter Ascending, Maleficient, Noah, 300: Rise of an Empire, Ninja Turtles and many other untitled projects.
Lonnie Sargent has been using Zbrush since 2002 (version 1.23b) and was a beta tester for Pixologic for the versions up to and including 2.0. Lonnie’s actual trade is in analytics where he worked as a corporate account analyst and category manager for vendors supplying national retail outlets. He has worked as a freelance artist part time for the past thirteen years. Although Lonnie has some limited exposure to other packages such as C4D and 3DS Max he primarily works in Zbrush from start to finish.
Ziya Göncü is a Character & Creature Modeler/Concept Artist. He started his career as a freelance artist working for various companies. Ziya specializes in character and creature design and has experience with concept painting, modelling and rendering. He currently also works as a ZBrush instructor.
Fabio Bautista is a 3D Character Artist and Digital Sculptor from Colombia. He has been working in the CG industry for over 8 years working mostly as a Character Modeler. Fabio is currently working as a Freelance Artist and ZBrush Instructor.
Josh Crockett is a freelance artist specializing in digital sculpture, concept art, illustration, and creature/character design for the film, gaming, television and publishing industries. Josh has designed creatures for numerous independent features, most recently, Spiders 3D. Kurt Papstein has extensive experience creating interesting and detailed creatures and characters for video games. In the last 5 years, he has worked as a sculptor and concept designer creating new and exciting baddies. Also working in movies, Kurt has helped develop from the ground up new and intriguing characters for the big screen on multiple unannounced projects in Hollywood.
Sharing his knowledge with students at LCAD, Phoenix Atelier, Pixologic User Group Meetings, and many other workshops, Kurt enjoys demonstrating to hundreds his techniques in creating interesting and dynamic creatures, for many different genres. His work can also be found in 3D Artist Magazine, where he has been featured for interviews and tutorials.
Luca Nemolato is a Character Artist who was born in Naples, Italy in 1991. He specializes in character and creature design and modeling & texturing for films, videogames, commercials and TV shows. Some of his professional works include concepts for Jupiter Ascending, 300: Rise of an Empire, All you Need is Kill, The Conjuring, Falling Skies and many more. Luca currently works for the Aaron Sims Company in Los Angeles.
David Richardson is currently a multi-disciplined artist in the advertising and entertainment industry. He has worked in miniatures, games, advertising and education for clients in the UK and even abroad. David is most known for his extensive use of Pixologic’s Zbrush for his artworks. He has done both live demos and has been featured many times online for his work and tutorials.

Justin is a Concept Artist from the Gnomon School of Visual Effects and currently works in the Film and Game industry. Vojislav Vukadin is a Freelance Digital Artist. He graduated in Video and Audio Technology from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Professional Studies. Vojislav uses 3d modelling, animation and various other technologies to create his pieces. He is particularly interested in the visualisation of underwater scenes.
Trevor Crandall is a senior level 3D artist working in the games industry. He specializes in character, creature, and hard surface modeling and design. Trevor currently works at Obsidian Entertainment in Irvine, CA, making really cool, top secret stuff.
Caleb Nefzen was born in beautiful Bogota-Colombia. He is a man of simple tastes who loves to meditate, watch movies, play sports and video games. Caleb studied Visual Arts and worked as a graphic designer for 5 years in different advertising agencies. However he felt unfulfilled in his roles and decided to take a leap into the 3D World working as a modeller and sculptor. He currently works as a Freelance Character Artist.
Dominic Qwek is a Character Artist who specializes in game art and 3d concept design. He has over 10 years of experience working in both games and post production. Dominic started out his career working as a 3d generalist in post production houses where he dabbled in pre-rendered asset creation, lighting, animation and compositing. A few years later, he made a switch to the games industry where he specialized in 3D character art. He currently works at Blizzard Entertainment as a Senior Cinematic Artist. His recent projects include triple A titles such as Killzone 2 (PS3), Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty and Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm, Diablo 3 and Hearthstone. His work at Blizzard consists of real-time character and environment asset creation, as well as lighting for in-game cinematics. He also specializes in creating digital sculptures for 3d printing and has a passion for designing characters and creatures.
Brett Patrick Sinclair is a self taught freelance artist living in South Africa. He specialises in all aspects of character creation. Brett works primarily with game cinematic companies such as Digic Pictures and Plastic Wax as well as rapid prototyping for McFarlane. Some of his projects include Warhammer Spacemarine, Trion Rift, Darksiders 2 (TV commercial), Neverwinter and Civilization V.
