BadKing has been steadily growing over the last year but still has a long way to go, which is why we have introduced our Reward System by sharing the ‘Embed Code’ and ‘Share Link’ on the right.
In order for the site to grow we need to start offsetting some of the bandwidth and labour costs required to run the site. Ways to support the site include Purchasing Items from the product section, making a donation via PayPal, purchasing Download Points or simply spreading the word.
WHAT ARE DOWNLOAD POINTS
Download Points are used to download additional content from the BadKing website, anything from 720-1080p videos, additional 3d models/ brushes and related project files. You can purchase Points via the shopping cart or earn them by spreading the word though the Reward System seen on the right.
HOW DO REWARD POINTS WORK
We add a tracking number to the link and embed code as seen on the right. This tracking number is linked specifically to your account which means we can track the amount of clicks you receive and reward you accordingly.
HOW DO I START EARNING POINTS
It’s simple. All you need to do is Cut & Paste the ‘Embed Code’ or ‘Share Link’ into any Social Networking site, Blog, E-mail, etc. For every click we track, you earn a download point. More points are earned if the people you attract sign-up to BadKing.
BE RESPONSIBLE - DON'T GET SPAMMY
Be respectful, nobody likes to be spammed, so although we appreciate your enthusiasm, repeatedly emailing and baiting people to click on videos or links is not the way to go.
Please be aware repeatedly clicking on a Video or Link will not earn you additional points and is of no real benefit.
If you like our content please help spread the word responsibly, your help is greatly appreciated.

Another tutorial finished :P, hey badking, in saw part i made in another way, i used the movetool to mask(like you), than gone to subtools, extract, set the E smt and S smt to zero, dismarked Tborder and applied dynamesh on the saw with res 1024, i think looks pretty too ^^
so thanks, you’re amazing 😛
BadKing
You’re welcome 🙂 Your technique is actually much quicker and I’ve used it in the past to create armour plating. It’s great because you no longer need to worry about Morph Target as you can set your thickness. Good call!

Zbrush4 4R4 is out! 😀 Looking forward to new tuts.
BadKing
Looking forward to playing around with the new release this weekend and making some new tutorials 🙂
Dan
Hey mate,
Great tuts — It’s really great being able to learn a workflow that doesn’t require going to another program.
Where could I find more information on your background and where you have previously worked??
(could I add you on linkedin??) 😀
BadKing
Thanks 🙂 I wanted to focus on a workflow within a single software program first particularly for those users who are new to Zbrush. Unfortunately I’ve closed my Linked In account as I never seemed to use it much, will probably create a new account when I have some time on my hands. In regards to my background, I started off as a web designer/ graphic artist and then moved into gaming starting a small company in the US. I’ve since been back in Australia focusing on BadKing, planning on making it fulltime soon 🙂
Dan
I’m feeling it, cool cool. Well hey, if you need some extra hands over there in Australia I’m willing to relocate!
BadKing
Thanks for the offer! Once I start working on BadKing full-time I’m sure there will be opportunities. I really enjoyed my stint in the States and moving back is a real possibility. Who knows, I might save you a trip 🙂

Hello BK,
I think this page has a problem, when I try to view the tutorial it bugs my browser and my operating system, and it push me to switch off the computer the rude way. It happens to twice with both chrome and firefox.
I wish if that problem will be solved.
thanx BK for the nice tutorials and keep going 😉 cheers 😉
BadKing
I just had my tech look into the problem for you. So far, he’s run several tests on our end and it seems to be working. Here are a few thoughts:
(1) It could be an issue with Flash. Chrome and Firefox use the same Flash player so that could be why you’re experiencing issues with both browsers. We recommend updating or reinstalling the Flash player.
(2) Keep in mind that Chrome and Firefox are a very similar engine so if one of the dependencies are broken then you are going to have problems with both. If this is the issue we recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the browser(s).
An easy way of testing this theory (I can’t believe I’m about to ask you to use Explorer) but see if it works in Internet Explorer as Explorer uses a separate flash player and runs on a very different protocol. Again, make sure you install or update the Flash player inside Internet Explorer. Like me, it sounds like you don’t use Explorer all that often…. if it works then you know the problem is Chrome related.
Is it just on the Bone Saw page or is it happening on other posts as well?
See how you go with the above and let me know 🙂
Gerardo
wow wow wow Badking! Claypolish Mask thing and Deformation Polish was mindblowing. I will totally use it in my workflow.
Thanks!
BadKing
Thanks 🙂 I’m so glad it helped! Just a quick tip – Claypolish on its own only does half the job, don’t forget to support your edges by applying Edge/GroupsLoops or Crease so that you can get a truly clean edge. Thanks again for the comment.
Flapjack
Very nice tutorial again!.
About suggestions, switching from hard surface It’s a good idea also no one made a good tutorial about sculpting a character – workflow. It could be anything, a mice, a gremling etc 😀 Also you could cover come new features from 4.3 like fiber mesh, Noise maker etc, all in one tutorial 😀
It’s a lot of wishes but nobody can do it better than You 😀
BadKing
Thanks for the compliments 🙂 Characters and FiberMesh are something that I’ve been wanting to do for a while so it’s definitely on my list. I just need to finish the Spiderbot series first before I start on anything else. Thanks so much for the feedback and suggestions, keep them coming 🙂
John
Love your tuts! Always something new to learn from you. I really appreciate how you explain the WHY’s and not just how’s. Many tuts don’t ever really explain how the tools work they just say hit this button or that. I probably would never know about stuff such as the tiny mask created from the polish tool. Keep up the great work!! How about some character modeling tutorials? My vote would be for a Black Cat or Black Widow modeling tut!!
BadKing
Thanks 🙂 Character tutorials are something that I’ve been wanting to do for ages now so it’s definitely on my list. Black cat or black widow….hmmmm interesting I think you may be onto something, let me think about it 🙂 Thanks again for the feedback.
Sam
Awesome tutorial! You always make things look so easy 🙂
BadKing
Cheers 🙂
Dan
What a delight to go to the BadKing web site and see the new tutorial Creating a Bone Saw – Exploring New Techniques (#15). I particularly like using the mask and one row Group Loop to smooth the teeth edges of the saw blade and the Crease function with its invisible mask. Using jpg clip art to produce 3d art is one of my favourite topics so any insights into new methods is so helpful. Again you bring out new ideas to learn from, thumbs up on this one.
BadKing
Thanks again for your feedback and support 🙂 What are your thoughts regarding some tutorials on organic sculpting like characters etc?
Thomas
you are my hero… 🙂
my workflow is much better an faster from this moment,if i find your blog
thanks again and again…
greetings from germany
BadKing
Guten Tag! LOL…so glad they’re helping. Always open to suggestions regarding new tutorials.
Makeart
Awesome tutorial, always helpful! I’m guesing you using ZB for everything now right? It’s like “Death to box modeling” methodology inspired by Ryan KIngslien hehe.
BadKing
Unfortunately I still use box modelling as it’s necessary at least for the time being. If ZBrush starts to improve its topology system and expand on its primitives then we can finally do away with it I think. Yeah, Ryan Kingslien has alot of cool tips 🙂
Nigel
Thanks so much. You’re cranking ’em out quicker than I can watch them!!
BadKing
Thanks 🙂 I hope you’re willing to wait a little longer for the next release, I’m in the process of finishing the Spiderbot series. This is the biggest one yet but I believe, worth waiting for!
